Lovely Gena. The feeling only grows, and we along with it. I wrote recently that parenting teaches us that our bullshit won’t cut it, and we need to figure out who we are and what we want. God bless your children.
I loved this trip down memory lane, Gena. As someone newer to writing online and still sitting with a similarly murky sense of where it might all lead, I found it deeply inspiring to see where this began for you, especially with the epilogue landing on your book deal.
I was also struck by how consistent your voice has been from the very beginning. Apparently, you have been an incredibly clear and gifted writer all along.
This is so beautiful. I got a goosebump when I read the line "my guiding vision is that of the struggling, striving, growing person, and of the knowledge and ideals that empower and inspire such a person."
And that having your first child is the way to put that first and foremost.
It really viscerally made me wonder how I could put what matters the most to me, the guiding vision, front and center every day, at a very viscerally felt sense level.
For me, it's a sense of togetherness, a sense of people working living loving laughing wrestling building thing that matters!

Happy belated Mother’s Day ◡̈
Wow, thank you! And excited to see where your writing leads you over time. :)

Thank you, Khuyen! And sounds like a wonderful guiding vision.
