My most comprehensive overview to date of what it takes to perfect ourselves
Earlier this month I got to contribute a guest article to Every, the hot new publication platform that’s innovating how business-related content gets written and read. My piece was titled “In Defense of Radical Self-Betterment: Raising the bar on your psychological ambitiousness”. The 7000-word article is my most comprehensive overview to date of the process by which I help clients achieve the psychological perfection of which I wrote in my earlier post. The process I describe draws heavily on the science-based therapeutic approaches I’ve learned through my research and practice as a clinical psychologist, but repurposed to serve a broader and more ambitious set of aims: not merely the recovery from diagnosable pathologies, but, as and when needed, the radical self-betterment of our moral character.
